Fuel Pump?

So here I am at a crossroads...

The current pump I have installed is some sort of parallel dual pump setup with (a) missing fuel sock(s) and a broken sender (fuel light won't go off). I have 550 primaries and (will install) 750 secondaries before taking it to the tuners. I'm gonna be running the stock regulator. I also picked up an FD pump recently for cheap.

The goal I have here is 300 hp @ 1 bar of boost. So what I'm wondering is if I should attempt to fix my current setup, go with the FD pump, or stop the guesswork and buy a walbro. Any thoughts guys?

Thanks!

What still no ideas? I think I might just install the FD pump tomorrow and check to see if my AFR's change at all.

dual fuel pump? seems like overkill for whoever installed it.
I would just keep it simple and install the fd pump
you will reach 300hp with 550cc primaries and 720cc secondaries, but thats pushing it.
x4 720 is better to be on the safe side or go with 1000cc secondaries just incase you want more power later on.

Thanks, good to have the support, Ill tell you how it works out.

They're Siemans 750cc injectors (or so I was told), but since I already have them I'll prolly just see how much power/boost I can get away with on this setup. Rather than sticking to an ideal hp/psi number.

You shouldnt use the stock regulator on a dual pump. Stock FPR is good for a stock pump basically.

^^ well....

So I switched the pump out today to find that the dual setup consists of what looks like an FD pump in parallel with some other random pump. So I removed the extra one and now have a spare FD pump.

The thing is though I logged my AFR and while it seems to be a bit more consistant the actual values are basically the same variety of pig rich (we're talking 11's at idle) that I had before, now if the stock FPR was a problem I would expect to see a difference in my AFR's off vacuum. In either case the dual-pump was a fugly assembly and at least now I have a fuel sock on there, so I guess that is some improvement.

Oh and in case some have misunderstood, the main reason I'm running so rich at idle is my EMS needs a tune. I didn't think changing the fuel pump would solve this, but I figured it might change the AFR's so I decided to log them for this purpose.
