just bought an 86 that had an engine swap, its at the shop right now and they are having problems getting power to the fuel pump so he says he is going to try and custom wire something together i am just wondering if any of you had this problem doing a jdm swap so maybe there is an easier fix.

oh yea the engine ended up being an s5 instead of s4 which i know makes a difference could there be anything related to that it could be

S4 to S5! Utohh this could cause allot of probs. Anyhow fuel issue.

Why is he not getting power when is he not getting power? I will assume he is not getting power through the harness?

Check the main relay circuit
Jumper the connector pin in the front

A rotary mechanic should know this or where they are at least!

Has he checked both sides of harness as well? If the harness is bad yes you could rewire it from the beginning no big deal or alternative method is desired.
