Fuel Problems...

alright the thing is i dont know **** about this stuff, so there was a whole bunch of **** in the gas tank like someone put pop or somthing in it to **** me over... so i removed the gas tank, filled it with CLR and water... so far limited results for cleaning it out... but its getting there... (if anyone has a gas tank for a 1986 message me) and now ive plugged the two tubes leading to the engine full of clr too... letting them sit for awhile. so other then the fuel injectors, what else would be a good idea to either clean or replace to make sure its working good.. i also have a new feul pump in it.

make sure you replace the fuel filter and if you have the time, it wouldn't hurt to replace your fuel lines while you're at it.

Just blow out the lines to verify that they're not clogged. There are chemicals that purport to clean and seal the inside of a gas tank. Sorry I don't recall the web site but do a Google search.

BTW, Mazdatrix has a gas tank for $488. Try a junk yard.
