fuel pressure test

Just put in new fuel injectors just wondering If I could do the jump the fuel pump yellow connector to test for leaks with out the ecu in the car. Waiting for my r-tech to come in.

so if you jumper the connector and turn the key, and the fuel pump doesn't turn on.....what exactly have we harmed?

No.

If you jump it and it works, then its operating like it should.

If you jump it and it doesn't work, then nothing happened and therefore nothing has been harmed. It also suggests the the fuel pump circuit is completed by the ECU...which I'm starting to doubt, since the pump receives constant voltage when on and requires no changing input from the ECU.

Jump the connector, turn the key and report back.

Well I jump the fuel pump an turn on the key heard the fuel running throw the lines let it run for about a minute no leaks so far. thanks

Np. Fuel leaks are no fun, better to handle them before you bolt everything up and take a spin around the block.
