Exclamation Fuel pressure regulator, line setup???

Hey guys,

I have an '87 Turbo II that I'm trying to get streetable again.

Currently installed mods: Hi Flow Air Intake, Blitz SS BOV, Racing Beat Downpipe, Straight Exhaust, Rtek7 2.0 ECU

I have 720cc injectors I would like to install as secondaries, but I want to make sure they will have enough fuel pressure to spray. I was going to install an aftermarket fuel pump(maybe walboro or denso), but what about the FPR?
Can i just install the pump and 720's or do I need to install the aftermaket FPR?
Would I want a rasing rate FPR or standard?
What are the stock fuel line sizes that would be used to hook to FPR( -6AN or -10AN)?

Please help me understand what I need better. I don't want to have to modify fuel rails, I would like it simple. Thank you.

this is what i see alot of times:

Mazda RX7 86-92 (86-88)
255 LPH #184501

Mazda RX7 86-92 (86-88)
255 LPH - High Pressure #184502

Since you need to adjust the fuel delivery, you don't need an aftermarket FPR.
The stock system will do fine.

I have a chart detailing the differences between the Walbro fuel pumps.

hey Ted,

Sorry if I annoyed you with replyiong to an old thread and then starting another one about the same thing. I apologize.....

Your wording is unclear to me, when you say I need to adjust fuel delivery so not to get a new FPR, is this to mean I can install the 720's with the stock pump and FPR??

I'm just trying to make this clear.

also, I understand that high pressure pump results in higher pressures, what i should have asked was if i were to install one of the walboro's, which would be more appropiate for my setup??

Im still in the dark as far as this goes. I'm trying to make sure I have enough fuel for my motor, I really want to install the 720's as secondaries, my ecu has the option for this.

Should I also install:
A) a new fuel pump
B) a new fuel pressure regulator
C) Both
D) Neither
