fuel lines
I have an 87 GXL just to let everyone know. would haveing the fuel lines backwards cause it to flood really bad? were does the line from the filter go too farthest from the oil filter or closest ?

I have it right then !!! What would make it flood so badly ? I mean Im getting fuel dripping out where the header and cat meet !!! I got everything hooked up correctly and the injectors are new all 4 of them. The motor has 65000 on it and had sat for over a year but was turned over 2 times a week before I bought it from this guy then I turned it over by hand each week untill I put it in 3 days ago .
You think it just flooded so badly because it hasnt built up enough compression from sitting? or is there a trick to starting a motor that has sat for so long .

well, it could be just that you're trying waay too hard and it's puddling up, but that's unlikely. The injectors could be pushing waaay too much fuel. I'm not too sure.
