fuel line leak

hi, im an aspiring future rx7 owner and i need a rough estimate on how much it would cost to repair a fuel line leak. the 7 im looking at is only $500 w/ 131k on it, non-turbo cept its got a fuel line leak and thats it. please if someone can answer this question it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

if its one of the rubber fuel lines. It will cost around 5-30 dollars if you do it yourself. You just need to take out the old hose and put in some new fuel injection hose form autozone and your done.

yeah, where is the leak???

Sure it is a fuel line and not the pulstation dampner???

icemark brings up a good point, the 86-88's were notorious for pulsation dampner failure. they're about 100-200 if i remember.

Find the leak. If it is just a fuel line, the just get in there and replace it. It will not cost a lot. If it is the pulsation damper, then yopu would be looking at some trouble. I'd just pull a decent looking one from the yard.

On the S4 models the PD is pretty cheap to replace. Only about $125 for the part.

Don't ever use a used PD. Always buy new.

The S5 PD/Rail last I checked was just under $200.

Should the Fuel Line be the culprit, replace It with approve Fuel Line rated with a diameter of 5/16.

Goodyear makes these lines as I have no complaints.
