Fuel Leak by left underside of fuel tank

so i went to the gas station, poured in my 2 cycle oil for the premix. and then i added the gas afterwards... then after i go pay, i see a wet spot streaming from under my left rear wheel... i go look and check, i see liquid dropping. so i took my finger and smeared my finger and sniffed it to check if it was gas or something. so, its gas.. so i figured there's a friggin problem... i'm getting ticked now cause i wasted probably ten dollars trying for a full tank of gas.

well i searched up on google to find this issue.. and found a case of how to fix it... the problem was the oversized hose and old hose clamps that has weaken and leaked fuel...

but has anyone had this problem too?

Look for the outlet for the overflow drain on the filler pipe. Could be that when you filled the tank, the gas backed up in the filler pipe and overflowed into the overflow drain pipe. That would be particularly true if you continued to add gas after the pump shut off automatically.

EDIT: Ooops, forget this. I think the fuller pipe is on the opposite side of the car.

i supposely fixed this issue... it was when i removed the fuel pump to check if there was anything wrong... the reason it leaked was because there was no gasket there. so i put some blue goo on and ever since, my cars been refilling up fine now.

haha, well.. not that i know of the leaking on the hot exhaust. but i remember filling my 7 up. after i get done paying for the gas, walk out... WTF!! a stream coming out under my car, i see gas dripping. ******* 5-10 dollars wasted. and premixed too! not cool, but like i said, just resealed and good to go.

i basically did like what aaron did in his turbo n/a set up. blue goo to gasket the fuel pump lid.
