Fuel leak

Ok heres the deal...Ive got an '88 convertible and ive recently found out that i have a fuel leak under the hood. Not a very good thing on a daily driver. My friend told me it was the main fuel rail but ive still got to look through my book tomorrow and find out more about it. Question is...how hard is this to fix granted it is the main fuel rail and where can i go to get this taken care of? I would love to learn to do this myself but im no where near experienced enough to do it i dont think. I live in northern VA about 30 mins outside of DC and dont mind to take it out of state to get the prob fixed if thats what it takes. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if u have any questions about it just let me know. I will try and tell u everything i can

your friend probably thinks that this is a s5 where the pulsation dampener is integrated into the fuel rail, but on your s4 the pulsation dampener is independant form the rails. My bet is that it's the pulsation dampener going out. It's not that difficult to do, but if you don't know what you are doing I would recommend getting some help when dealing with fuel. Fix that **** before your ride cathces on fire!!!!

Ok so the best i can figure out so far after looking through my manual is that the pulsation damper is on the end of the primary fuel rail. Im not sure exactly how im gonna figure out whats causing the prob but it def wont hurt to change it all out. No telling how long is has been in there. If anyone has any other advice i would greatly appreciate it

Between those and gobs more you could find with the search function or Google, you should be all set to replace/repair the good ol' PD.
