Exclamation Fuel issues, new rebuild.....

I got my new rebuild in today, everything all hooked up.....primed the oil/gas....
will not start. So I sprayed some either into the intake tube....fired right up.
Checked fuel lines....I have fuel all the way up to the valve on the secondary
fuel rail.....for some reason or the other the fuel will not go past this valve.

I am totally dumbfounded.....the vaccum hose coming off the valve is brand new.
I checked and double checked as I was hooking things back up. All is well. Any ideas?

One thing I did notice just now, there is a black plug on the passenger side kick panel that is not plugged into anything. and I cant find anything to plug it into....
will look at this in the morning. But back to the valve on the fuel rail, I took another one I had on another motor and tried it. still no go. Gotta figure this out, driving me crazy......

Are you sure that your injectors are functioning properly and getting power ? Check the connections to make sure they are on good, if they arent working that would prevent you from getting fuel. I had my injectors cleaned and tested before i put them back in for my rebuild. come to find out one was bad so i had to send in another batch from my parts car.

Could it also be a bad fuel pressure regulator ? Thats the piece on the end of the 2ndary fuel rail. on the intake manifold

do you have the hoses hooked up backwards like the feed and the return. That happend to me today. the feed is suposed to go to the bottom rail and the return to the top rail

Thanks alot.......Fuel lines were backwards.....I somehow bent the input line on the vac rack over to where the return line is suppose to be.......Anyway, Got fuel right off. Pulled the CAS and set its mark and reinstalled.....turned key and boom, fired up instantly, for 5 secs then died.

After getting it started and sitting at the gas pedal for about 20 mins to keep it going, I got out to inspect the engine......Found out the Primary injectors were leaking a little. Getting new rings for those in the morn.

My only other issue was this squeeling noise that I and a friend pin pointed at the TB and Dynamic chamber.. Anyideas on this. I have another TB if you think it or the chamber could be at fault....

Also there is a plug on the passenger kick panel that I cannot find where it goes....
Its black and if you look at it head on the top left pinhole is emty if that helps....

Fresh rebuilds are notoriously hard to get them to idle.
For the first few hundred miles, I recommend bumping the idle up to over 1,000RPM to help get the car to not die all the time.
