Question Fuel Injectors. What size at 18psi?

Hey you turbo gurus
What size of fuel injectors do I need to run 15-18psi safely??
Is there any other precautions I can take to run high boost like this?

There's no real answer for your question - your question was too vague.

1) If you're talking about stock turbo, the turbo itself is going to puke it's oil seal(s) running that kinda boost.

2) Which means...you need to be talking about an aftermarket turbo.&nbsp 1psi on one particular turbo doesn't mean it's the same as 1psi on a different model of turbo.&nbsp So the answer is..."it depends on the turbo you're planning to run..."

Did you actually expect a million responses in only 30 minutes time? I suggest that you depart from Lala Land, and do some homework. The flow rate of your injectors depends not so much on your gauge pressure, but more on your absolute pressure, volumetric efficiency, turbocharger efficiency, intercooler efficiency, fuel pressure, air/fuel ratio, etc. Here are some links that may help.

Well i recommend that you turn your boost down to 10psi right now.

Since you dont know what turbo your runnning, if its a stock turbo (series 4 or 5) it isnt going to last much longer, and if its an aftermarket turbo, your probably on the verg of blowing anouther motor-

You really need to find out what mods your car has or its going to get expensive when more stuff starts breaking.

Yup! How do you not know what turbo you have anyways? Did you buy it that way?

Im assuming you bought the car from a private party. If i were you id go back to the previous owner and asked him what the heck he did with the car. That way you'll know if you should raise your boost or lower it down. TO be safe lower it down to 10 psi.

and even if you had big enough injectors I wouldn't want to be running over 12 psi or so with out a standalone. some people do but I never will.

standalone ECU like a haltech. you replace your stock ecu and all the wires under your hood with it, then you tune it with a laptop. the haltech runs around $1200usd.

You need to find out alot of info on your car before you start running it hard. Turn the boost WAY down, and start reading up on everything you can, otherwise youll just pop another motor in no time.

Note that the methods in those links are not 100% accepted by the entire automotive world, but they will certainly help get you started.

Hehehe, you kinda sound like some guy who just inherited a million dollars and doesn't know what to do with it. I'm sure that you will not be lacking opinions on how to fix up your car once you find out exactly what you have there.
