fuel injector questions

Im running a jspec s5 t2 engine in my s4 n/a, heres the problem. I have a s4 harness in it and i just got in a set of s4 injectors so i can plug them right up to the harness. The primaries fit in fine, but the secondaries just dont fit right. On my s5 secondary injectors there is a insulator on the bottom so they fit in snug, these insulators dont fit on the s4 injectors, and they didnt come with insulators of there own. Do the s4 injectors run these insulators? Also, if i cut out the s4 plugs and splice in the s5 injector plugs would that work? Any advice on what to do would be great, thanks!

Mazdatrix should have those gromets for the bottom/top of S4 injectors.

If you must, yes, you can hack up the harness and plug in the injectors. But you need to make sure you have the right impedance injectors or make sure you have or make a resistor setup for the ECU not to freak out, i believe dammage can occur to the injectors or ECU, maybe both if you don't do it right.

All injectors for the 2nd gen are physically the same style, except for the plug. They are interchangable. The rubber insulators are on the bottom of all 2nd gen injectors.

As for swapping the plugs, yes you can. But you need to be sure you know if you have high or low impedance injectors. See the FAQ for injector impedance information.

ok, so i belive i can just cut the plugs off the jspec s5 harness and splice them into the s4 harness because it is off a 88 t2. Those are both high impedance harnesses. This is what i will do, unless anyone thinks this will not work for some reason, but from what ive read i belive it will.
