Fuel injector question (no, not impedence question)

On my '90 GXL today, I noticed that while sitting with the car off, but with the key in the run position, the injectors are "firing" with no fuel pressure going to them. The car was warm, so I don't know what the deal is with this. It didn't flood, started right up, but the question is, are they supposed to do this when the engine is off. Every other car I have seen with FI dosen't do this.

Figured this would make everyone a little more happy to answer as opposed to the typical "will the bosch 1600 cc LI injectors fit in my HI car?"

J/K, but not really

Dude, that sounds impossible- are you sure you're not hearing something else?

Maybe you have a possessed ECU, lol...

The injectors will not fire unless the CAS tells them to unless one of your wires at each injector is grouded.

You were hearing the BAC valve, which is a solenoid valve that's rapidly pulsed open and closed just like the injectors.

That's the winning answer. Give that man a bobble head.

yay! I was hoping that it wasn't the injectors, besides it sounded like the pulses were too far apart to be injectors. At least my fears of having to buy some new injectors or go through wiring are alleviated.
