fuel injector cleaners???

What are your thoughts on the best fuel injector cleaners out there for keeping the injectors cleaner? Interested in opinions on different brands and how often do you use them.

Also, I have an extra set of injectors that I would like to get professionally cleaned before I install them. Where is the best place for this and what is the approx. costs?

They're all garbage. I used to believe in them, until I read the ingredients. Same stuff that's in gas...

The only way to clean the injectors is to remove them and have them professionally (normally ultrasonically) cleaned. Most diesel shops perform this service, quite cheaply.

Ack...all waste of money. If you *need* it badly, take it to a pro. If you can't wait for days or weeks for the injectors , pull them out and use a carb cleaner .
Get a AA or AAA battery and attach the injectors to the battery . You'll either hear a faint click or a clean click depending how dirty it is. Use the "straw" that comes with the cleaner and stick it in both ends while it's attached to the battery.
It's not as thorough as a sonic cleaning but better than the garbage they sell at the stores.
