Fuel Guage Problem

ok so last night i installed some glow guages. everything went back together great and everything works as it did before, except my fuel guage.

I had to move all the needles just a bit to slide the guage faces on. after the install all the guage needles work just as they did, so im not sure what i did wrong.

The fuel guage needle should be a little under half way, thats where it was when i changed it, if you look at the picture you can see it sits a little above E and it doesnt matter if the car is on or off

I was wondering if there is a way to re-calibrate or reset the fuel guage, also will my low fuel light still come one despite the guage not working anymore? if it does still work i guess i could deal with not having a working guage

but a lighter note the guages look nice, i think

heres a pic

and if that doesnt work

click on the glow guages album, there are two pics, one on and one off

thanks in advance

the same thing happened to me when I cahnged mine. my solution was to physically move the needles to the correct postition.

it seems like a bit of a friction fit for them, so jsut tweak them whichever way you wan by turn them all the way left or right and then pushing a little bit mroe to make it budge.

I imagine the needle is going below the E when you turn the car off too, right?

nope

but after i drove to work and back it seems to be dropping a little, so im guessing i just threw the guage off alot, i guess ill just fill it up and point the needle to the F

thanks

i also didnt notice that the guages are kinda sagging a bit, so when i take the cluster out again to fix the needle i guess ill seat the guages better too

the guage sort of works, and the low fuel light still comes one so im not worried about it, plus the gas guage drops slower so its almost like a i get good gas mileage, except for when its at 1/8th of a tank and the fuel light comes on, lol
