Fuel cutoff on N/A...it sucks

Well I dont know whats up but sometimes (usually going up hill slightly) I get this hard *** jerk and car slows down. I have to back off the gas. Is this the fuel pump overheating ? because it only does it at high RPMs.

what about the condition of your gas tank?

If the internal baffels are rusted out that could happen

What about the brand of the fuel filter? I remember some posts about aftermarket fuel filters not flowing as well as Mazda ones.

i have seen aftermarket fuel filters rust out internally and clog themselves. it could also be an intermittant injector ground

Thr all those things above, but also look and see if you have an orifice in the boost/pressure sensor line. On my n/a I found I had a jerking like described right after I replace some vac lines. I reinstalled my boost sensor line and the problem quit. That when I found out the n/a as well as turbo cars have a orifice installed inside the boost senor line to reduce *spiking* of the vac signal. Orifice is but a egg shape unit approx 3/16 in or less in length, and the size of the hole in dia. It has a small hole drilled in its center. Usually about an inch from the end. I notice that a lot of cars in the wreck yard have this hose color striped on one end or the other . I vaguely remember the colors being blue and yellow stripes towards one end. I suppose that was to alert someone that a orifice was inside. Or a kid was just playing.
