Fuel cut at 4 grand??

Has anyone else had the fuel cut if trying to rev past 4000 rpm full throttle??
I can hear my egr relay click when it happens and my engine light comes on also.

Pull the engine code and see what is causing the problem. Could be the TPS or Boost sensor. IF you do not know how to pull the codes there is a "how-to" on our website.

3800 RPM Hesitation (common...usually caused by bad grounds), or is it flat out fuel cut? Does it ONLY happen at full throttle, or will it still do it at half or 3/4?

More info needed. What year is your car? Since you said EGR valve I'm assuming it's an 87-88.

Yah but he also says he has an engine light... So 89-91? But they don't have EGR. Yah, more info needed.

By chance have you added an exhaust and intake or something? Without getting an FCD? Maybe you're getting fuel cut because you're boosting too high now, without the FCD.

It's a series five with the EGR MOD! Fifteen hp gain there. It's a rare mod. Do a Search in the FAQ.

IF you dont have a fuel cut defenser then yeah you're hitting fuel cut.. Watch doing that. You need to buy yourself an FCD and all will be golden. I'm surprised you're not getting it in 2nd though, because thats where I got it, particularly on cold days.

Your car is sensing so much boost that its cutting the fuel, the fcd would keep it from doing that.
