For those of you who have 350hp+ FC's I have a question. I was on the rx7.com site messing around with the fuel calculator and it seems that in order to get close to 400hp at the flywheel you would have to have 2 additional injectors at least 720cc in size along with 550's and 720's in the stock location. So my question is what type of fuel setups and how many injectors are you running? I am thinking about putting my TII back on the road and I must utilize a larger turbo since it is a mild bridgeport block and even the BNR stage 4 would be inadequate, so any helpful advice or tips would be much appreciated.

 

usually those numbers can be had with larger injectors all aorund....

For a BP'd motor seeing mmm 20 pounds or so I would say that a 720 primary 1300 secondary should be adequate....

really though just think about some of the math - 550pri. 720 sec. and additional 720 = 3980cc.............720pri. 1300 sec. = 4040cc..........

the purpose of additionals would simply be tunability...its hard to make a 1300, 1600cc injector inject at 550cc.....therefore with many smaller injectors a motor can be made to idle easier and with less consumption then a motor with huge primaries......

edit: but at that point alot of other factors come into play such as fuel pressure and what you are actually tuning the car with.....

 

most people use 1680's for secondaries.


I am using a 720/1680 combo now and undecided if I will move up to 1000cc primaries or just add another 720 if I start running out of a comfortable 75-80% duty cycle on the injectors.

but you cannot go wrong with a 120 dollar set of bosch 1680cc injectors as secondaries

So perhaps 720's on the P's and 1300's on the S's..I currently have an upgraded intank fuel pump from RX7.com will that be sufficient?
