like most things, heat does wonders at removing stubborn rubber trim and cutting window sealant. doing anything mid winter or without a heat gun is asking for trouble and making it much more difficult. not like i prefer cutting out a window on a 110F day, but that's actually the best time to try.

And that probably is the way I should have went. It's not a huge deal anyway, as I wanted to replace my windshield as the tint across the top was horribly faded and there were some decent areas of hazing and light scratches.

Just got my first quote back from a local safelite

343 installed, she is not sure if the glass comes with moldings cuz it doesnt show on her computer, additional applies if its needed.

343 ... i forgot to ask her the brand of the glass they use. Mmmm

No moldings, only top strip and it is not oem molding.

no glass will come with the side moldings, the top molding is no big deal they will change that

call a local glass shop and see what they say, or call your body shop and ask who they use

343 sounds a bit steep ... especially some ppl got it for 200 or less just a few years ago
