front wheel wobble
I have a problem that I want another opinion on before I tear into the car. I drive an 88 se and at almost any speed over 30 when I turn right whether it's a sharp turn or a shallow one it wobbles. I've checked and re-greased the bearings, they're good, I've checked the lug nuts of course first and that wasn't it, I've checked the ball joints and they're fine but, the only thing I noticed is on the top end of the tie-rod on the drivers side there is a very very small amount of play. Is that normal? I haven't taken off the boot yet to look in there cuz I don't have any "safety wire" at the moment to put it back on so, any help with this would be very appreciated! Please please give me any thoughts on this one that you might have! A-nything at all!

Assuming the wheel bearings were reinstalled correctly, my guess would be the steering linkage. Any play you can feel in the steering linkage can cause this problem. Doesn't take much. Replace any component that has play. But first, to eliminate a bent rim as the cause, swap the front wheels to the rear and test drive.
