Front wheel bearings
Is anyone else having problems with their front wheel bearings? after replacing them with new races and bearings i have noticed that hte hubs loosens over time (say 3 to 4 weeks)
at this time i have to remove the cotter pin, retighten the wheel bearings and then put in a new cotter pin.
I have tried just barely tightening it so that it doesn't move to damn that has gotta be a little too tight. But the same results happens. It starts to loosen up again.
I dont' know...

but what i have found is that you don't need to grind the notches in. I did on my install. I watched a friend do it via punches. He had a set of punches and he just sharped it on a die grinder and was able to knock the vise out that way.

If you still have "wheel bearing play" after installing new bearings then chances are your shocks are worn.
The front shocks support the entire camber. THere is not just a downward/upward force aserted onto the shocks, there is also camber, caster, and sway (turning) type of force. THis will tend to wear out the bushings inside the shock.
My front suspension is nice and tight after a KYB AGX upgrade!
