Front strut mount directional?

I checked my front tires today and noticed that my drivers side one has a lot of wear on the outer edge like I've got positive camber. THis made me realize that I replace the strut mount on that side a year ago.

I thought I saw something about them being directional? like the little nub/mark has to be facing towards the inner front? Mines facing towards the outer front.

the upper strut mount is offset. you can see it if you look at it closely, the struts not centered in the mount. ideally you want the strut toward the rear and inside, for max negative camber, and max positive caster

When you rotate the strut, there are 4 positions you can put it in. Each position changes the camber AND caster. However, you can't change it enough using this method if it is as far off as you say.

If you want real camber adjustability, you're options are:

- camber plates (great, I love mine and you can get ones that adjust caster too)

- crash bolts (offset strut bolts, they don't call them crash bolts for nothin')
