front left speaker not working, help!! :]

hey guys my front left speaker doesn't work. Before it actually went out, wen i hit a bump or something i would hear a sound static sound coming from it and one day it just stopped working altogether. Today i got new speakers and installed them but the front left still doesn't work. I hear slight static and even faint noises of the songs. I'm thinking its a lose connection to the stock radio. I checked the fade already, the front left works but not teh front right. What do you guys think the most likely problem is? thanks for the help i appreciate it.

Well the first thing to do is check all the connections, not just the positive and negative wires but the stock connectors to every clip until it runs to the back of the radio

if all connectors are good and wire spades are secured in every clip the next thing will be your wires- make sure every wire is good

Now to you radio these radios are old and do fail ,just how a amp blows out on you so will the stock radios inputs...try finding another stock radio from a friend or junkyard and try that

another thing you can do is unplug the right speaker and connect the left speaker to it if it works walla...your left front speacker channel is blown

good luck

Best bet would be to check your connections. Though if you still have the stock stereo its possible that channel has died, when I picked up mine the right side would make horrible scratching noises but once the stereo was replaced it was fine (and I had cheched the wires before I replaced)

Edit:
NOT FAIR *sobs slightly* typing faster than me, and more organized *gasp* how dare you!?
