Friend has a problem with his rex

Wooo been a long time since I've posted on this place! Nice to be back.

Alright - here's my friend's problem. Yesterday was a warm day here in L.A. as most of us Angelinos experienced. Yesterday my friend attempted to turn his rex on after having driven it for a while. To his unfortune, the poor rex did not start. He tried once, twice, thrice...but nothing. He push started it to get the car going, and finally it did. He then arrived at his buddy's house, and following the arrival at his buddy's house; he left his buddy's house. However, when he attempted to turn his rex on....nothing! He ended up having to push start it again. He told me about this over the phone, and my guess is that he's flooding. So I told him the easy way to start her up, and get her going is to pull out the EGI INJ fuse in the engine bay, and do the usual. He said he didn't want that to be the fix though. Does this problem sound familiar to you guys? The car's an 87 Turbo II with flowmasters, downpipe, straight Y-Pipe, and a Monsterflow air filter.

If you haven't driven it for a while are you sure the battery is still good?

he's been driving the car daily since January when he bought it. It only started to act up like this when the outdoor temperatur got into the high 80's. Mine does the same thing some times, but I'm able to keep it going all the time. Sometimes I have the flood problem. How can this be fixed?
