Fried ECU.. ok to drive?

hey guys.. my jspec s5 turbo burnt part of the ecu circuit.. It looks pretty much the same as this one..

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/89-ecu-fried-what-can-cause-picture-529942/

according to that post, my MOP would be gone..

anyway, i was wondering if it would be ok to drive to my mechanic after putting the fried ecu back in..

thanks guys

Add a little premix to the gas, just to be on the safe side.

Then, sure.

run premix and if the ecu is throwing your car into limp mode, you'll have to baby drive it. If it drives at all.

The premix is needed because the omp is not going to be running. meaning no oil to the apex seals.

Also just to throw some info at you. If it is indeed the MOP that failed and fried the ecu. Replace both at the same time. The old ecu will burn the new MOP and the old MOP would burn a new ecu.

thanks for the help guys.. yeah i was thinking of putting a lil premix in..
also.. just wanted to tell people who might get the same problem that i smelt burning smell before, kind of like acetone. But it was pretty strong.. i smelt it in the cabin.. thats y i suspected the ecu..

also does limp mode restrict the car from giving more than say... 20% throttle? and going above ~3k rpm??

because thats what my car is like at the moment.
