Frayed BAC wire?

This mess goes to mah BAC plug. Black wire surrounded by a thick grey (heatshrink?) it looks to me like the extra wire is sheathing that wrapped the black wire, i can see the indents on it, but im not sure. The black wire inside is not damaged. Do I need to cut and replace this section? Im concerned because I think its the BAC thats buzzing when the key is in ON position engine off. It may be a FI, i have id750s, do they make noise? hope its not due to a loose inj plug or something (the buzzing). I do hear it for sure at the BAC area with a stethescope, and remember someone (ReTed?) mentioning it makes a buzzing sound at a certain operation. Any idea?

Just tape it up. The BAC will make noise after the engine has been run for a while and the ignition is turned off as this is normal. Eventually the buzzing will stop.
