Fram suredrain safe?

I've got a Fram sure drain on the car (from when I was breaking in the new motor and changing oil every 500 miles). Anyway it just dawned on me that with the drain kit you lose the magnet on the plug. I won't mind going back to the plug although one plus is not worrying about the gasket getting dirty or wearing out since you don't remove it, just the cap and it's got a valve.
So I guess my question is how useful the magnet is.

i hate valve drain plugs, only take a rock to hit the valve or a low bump to take it out and poof, smoked motor.

also, i don't remember the FC having a magnetic drain plug stock.

I don't believe they come with a magnetic plug stock.

I thought about doing one of the "EZ-Drain" type things, but as Karack said, they're easier to break.

Plus, once you figure out how to do it, you can get the drain plug out without getting any oil down your arm (or even on your hand). I suggest changing the oil right after a good hard drive - it gets a lot more oil out of the system and you get good at avoiding the oil stream.

Considering that the oil drain is not the lowest thing in that area, I think you'd be damn unlucky to actually break it off on something. Besides, I don't know where you drive your FC, but on the raods I drive flying rocks and low bumps that would go between the wheels are pretty much non-existant. It's a sports car, not an off-roader...; )
