FPR Install help for S4
FPR Install help for S4
Im looking to install a FPR on my s4, & need some advice on how to do it or any tips that anyone has.
Ive done a search, but had trouble finding specifics about the install in a S4.
Also pics of a setup would be awesome.

first tip- disconnect the battery
second tip- is to work on a cold engine
third tip- don't prime (pressurize)the fuel system by turning the car on... no need to spray fuel everywhere
fourth tip - use new copper washers
fith tip - after the part is re installed make sure the vacuum reference source is connected
and
sixth tip - pressure test the system to check for leaks

Why do you think you need a new FPR? What pump are you using? Have you measured you fuel pressure through the load range?
Im using the stock injectors still with a 255ltr/hr walbro intank replacement fuel pump. The guy Im getting the tune done by said that I'll get around the 190rwkw b4 the injectors can give any more safely, but he said if I had a FRP that he could get it upto 200-220rwkws safely. Im not fussed too much about trying to squeeze the extra kw's out of the stock injectors, as I will upgrade later when I have the cash, but If Im going to need a FPR later then I might as well install one now.

Installation depends on the regulator and how you are plumbing it. If using AN fittings, then all you need to do is remove the stock FPR, install the appropriate metric to AN fitting on the rail (either 12x1.25 or 14x1.75 I think) and plumb to the regulator. If the regulator has barb fittings, then you need to install a barb onto the fuel rail by replacing the pressure regulator with a banjo bolt.
