Found a TII locally for $550.

The car doesn't have the engine in it. It has everything else though. The tranny, wiring, rear end, full interior.

Now on to my question, what is involved with putting a stock n/a motor in it just to get it running and able to drive again.

Do I need the n/a ecu, or should I just use the turbo ecu and get it tuned?

Later on, the car would be getting some LS power, so this is just temporary.

Add an NA trans, custom driveshaft to mate with the TII diff, NA wiring harness, NA pressure sensor...

I did that once....slap an NA engine into a TII...it was dumb.

Better off PMing Japan2LA here and ordering a Jspec TII engine.

How much would the TII engine cost though?

you'll need a t2 flywheel & clutch to match the splines on the transmission.

you'll also need a n/a pressure sensor.

You'd be better off sourcing a turbo motor than all that hassle. What year of car is it?

You do not need an N/A tranny, just a TurboII flywheel/clutch. But I agree, why spend more money to make a less adequate car, just get a used TII for w/e it costs, drop it in, enjoy it, and you'll still be able to sell the TII engine afterwards for something, along with the stock TII electronics/drivetrain.

If he was doing a 20B N/A P-port I would disagree with this. But that's not the case.

Put a TII motor in it and then sell it and buy a Corvette of you want LS power.

just buy a T2 motor or rebuild that motor. the cost is almost the same unless you want it ported.

If you have the space, money and time, buy the car and put a TII motor in when you can. BTW, what shape is the car in anyway, mileage, etc.?

If I found a TII roller anywhere near here at that price, I'd jump on it (it it was in half decent shape). The parts on the car are worth the price alone (brakes, powertrain, electronics, turbo ECU, interior parts, etc.)

buy it for 500.00 today, talk 2 japan2la as reccomended for an s4 t2 engine with low imp injectors. Have a running t2 for less than 2 grand. Do not put an na motor in it it is almost as much money and retarded. 500 na motor, 400 dollars for s4 t2 flywheel, clutch kit, na ecu and na throttle cable. Wiring issues with alternator will exist too using the t2 harness on na motor. 50.00 t2 afm and pressor sensor. There is prob more but my stomache hurts from 8lbs of turkey and 2 pieces of pie. I think i broke my stomach. Oh yeah........ na total is now up to the same as the turbo engine price (give or take an insignificant amount).

giggity go turbo
