Found the prob, now what do I do?
Re-Posting this since I never recieved a reply.....
I think I finally got the the bottom of my problem.
Lets re-cap: My 87 NA runs great but I could never get it started with the starter. I rebuilt my starter and re-installed my air pump, no dice. After doing some research on the net I found that a faulty advanced warm up diaphragm could be the culprit. Instead of buying a resistor and testing it properly I simply disconnected it. (see atached pic) Now my car starts nearly every time with the starter and the advanced warm up system even kicks on for a second. (after that it just idles down to the point of stalling untill the engine is warmed up)
What do I need to replace?
Did I even disconnect advanced warm up diaphragm? (seeing how its semi working now...)
Thanks

Well, I'd still like a reliably starting car...
Didn't know you could do that, perhaps this isnt my problem after all....
Grrrrr
Back to square one
the startup bs isnt alwase a good thing. most people disconnect every single thing and have a very driveable fc
