Found coolant near lim

Angry Found coolant near lim

so i was taking apart the upper intake manifold, when i saw some coolant. it was actually a pretty good amount of it on the top of the motor pooled. what does it mean? my seals are bad? i checked the surrounding area, but i couldnt find where it was coming through. any thoughts?

probably NOT! a bad seal.

there are coolant lines that go to teh BAC and to the throttle body. One of them is probably leaking.

Search around there, you'll find it.

you have a TII motor in it? if so coolent runs threw the lim. you may need a new o ring. and lim gasket...but then i look at the picture and notice a drip on the wire bundle above it. maybe from your tb? try looking for a blistered hose. or clean it up put it back together and presure test it.

well i dont have coolant going to my tb, as u see in my sig, i did the tb mod. ill have to check the hose i put in there between the waterpump and the rear of the motor. i took it off the old motor. maybe it has a break in there i cant see and probably wont till i turn the car on. i got a new seal on the lim.

He has a S4... his BAC valve is on the dynamic chamber. S5s have the BAC valve on the VDI manifold (above the LIM).::::EDIT::::. my fault... didn't see he was turbo I just read 87 base

If it weren't for that... that would be my guess.

On my S5... behind the waterpump right under the alternator, is where the coolant hose goes from the BAC valve... (dont know the name of it). Does the S4 have that as well? If so... check that connection.
