so i just recently got my first rx7, 88 se. my friend told me he saw an rx7 get dropped off at a local junkyard. I haven't seen it yet. he thinks its the same year as mine, i'm hoping its a s5 so i can grab those taillights. since my car doesn't really need anything replaced yet, i'm going to grab afew things that i know are expensive to buy new, like the ignition coils. if you guys have any suggestions on things i should grab, throw em out here. like what are some things that die on these cars, so i can have a spare lying around. stuff like that.

 

all of the aero package if it has it, warning lights trim, radio suround.... ummm. if its a s5 then front bumper skin. and if its a tii get the hood too... man the list goes on and on.

 

If it is an S5 grab...
Front and Back Bumpers,
Spoiler,
Skirts if applicable,
spare set of wheels for snow tires or track tires,
Taillights,
Foglights,
3 spoke steering wheel,
epending on the condition all of the interior if it is a more visually appealing color,
the seats if they are better condition then
yours,
the sunroof so you have one that isn't rusted
All the parts you have that are failing, ie master or slave cylinders, etc.
If it has an aftermarket exhaust snag that
Whatever oddities you can find in the glove box
Speakers if they are aftermarket
If it is a TII: trade your car for it just kidding,
Engine
Harness
ECU/CPU
Drivetrain
LSD
Intercooler
All the other parts that you will need.

Hell who are we kidding just tow the damn thing home and have it as a spare parts car to pull pieces off at your leisure. It is always nice to have two 7's even if one of them is in non running condition.
