Same as title. Im not sure, but I heard something about leaving the stock hood scoop creates some pressure differentials under hood and causes some cooling problems with a front mount. Is a reverse scoop worth while and where can I find one?

I just put on a Pan Speed Type II reverse cowl hood to evacuate the heated air after it passes throught the ic and radiator. I popped my engine on the last road course (Sears Point) I was on due to heat soaking everything before I had this hood. It doesn't matter how thick your ic or radiator is if the air has nowhere to go. We'll see how it does in 3 weeks at Laguna Seca.
BTW, with the TII hood and a fmic, you are essentially 'pressurising' the engine compartment preventing optimal airflow through the ic and radiator. An NA hood would be better than the TII hood.

To answer your question though....yes it would be worth it, even just for street driving.

I'm posting pics of my front end setup tommorrow in this thread if you want to see it.
