FMIC water/oil questions

FMIC water/oil questions
I've searched and what I found doesn't add up - why does adding an FMIC put extra stress on your oil and water setup? I would think that it'd be easier on them because of the lower intake temperatures. I also thought that the FMIC would be independant of all this. If someone could clear this up - I'd appreciate it greatly.

In the typical FIMC setup, ram air gets heated first by the IC, then oil cooler & AC condenser, then the radiator.
Each gets hotter air than it used to before the IC was added.
Maybe you're thinking of a horizontal or V-mount setup?

There's two aspects to what you are talking about. First, when you add a front mount you should be making more power. More power makes more heat for your radiator and oil cooler to deal with. Next, the front mount impedes air flow to the radiator. But a properly ducted set up will minimize this problem.

Also if your Radiator is operating at full effeciency, you should see 180 degrees on 95-100F degree days. If yours is like mine with rust particles which can't be flushed out with a normal flushing kit, you'll see 190-210 on 75-85F degree days. Add a FMIC without some type of cooling panel to force air into the FMIC, Radiator, & Oil coolers, you're just asking for a disaster.
