FMIC mounting location

Hey guys, i have made up a few brackets that will mount my intercooler directly in front of the rad and underneath the hood release. i am running the stock s5 turbo with an N/A hood. will this location provide sufficient cooling? or should i mount the ic directly behind the bumper. the ic looks as if it could be stock when it is mounted with the rad. thanks for your input

it will look better in the position you have in mind. directly behind the bumper means you have to cut up the bumper a bit like i did here

I'd say it is really personal preference. (IC piping placement, modification/cutting of bumper and/or anything structural under the hood, etc...)

i'm mostly concerned about the functionality of this location. it seems as though the ic would get less air further back. if this placement doesn't provide sufficient air flow,i suppose I'll rig up a diy sprayer by the way the intercooler is a stock s5 top mount that has been stripped down. i'll throw up a pic soon

I'd like to see pics. DIY sprayer isn't a bad idea. You could always use the windshield sprayer...
