Question FMIC dimensions

Hi guys

please have a look at this intercooler:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...970359423&rd=1

what do you think about the price and about the quality of this product?

another question...

should i go with the 600x300x100mm or with the 600x300x76 mm ?

will i have any problems with a mostly stock TII ? (will do FMIC, TID, cone Filter, Downpipe, Catback and racing kat... also a little more boost and fuel with SAFC)

My conclushion is on this subject. Just buy the greddy FMIC or have identical one made. It seems to be the best and from what other people have and from what ive seen I like it the most and you know it will fit to maximum capability b/c evryones used it and it was designed for your car. Other words your guessing and fabrication fitment.

Just a note that I know people will argue. But acording to Gale Banks aluminum intercooling piping is bad and compleatly defets the purpos of a FMIC. The engin bay is so hot and aluminum conducts heat so quickly that the air in the pipe heats up to the engin bay temp befor it gets into the motor thus defeating the FMIC. The best pipe to use acording to Gale Banks is plastic or ruber what most factory cars come with for turbos.

Good E-fans are great but a cheep fan will head you towrds buying a new RAD from the fins hiting the core and braking it or improper cooling. I think the flex-alite fans are great they have a good bezel and ruber striping around the fan shroud against the RAD exspect to pay atleast $200 for a good fan

You do not "need" the elbo but it allows the inlet to face more straight then curved back. If you wan to hook your ICP right to it then yes you will or if you go with greddy kit. I custom ran my ICP and utalized the factory elbow. If you want to use aluminum pipe and all I know the greddy kit is $$$ but it will save you so much time and a huge headach of do i yourself it is alot of work and not easy. The way I did my elbo is I utalized the factory 90 degree ruber hose. I cut the hose right where it needed to be to meet up with my ICP. I used 3in ICP so I went to echoust shop and told them to stretch me a 2in pipe to 3in and what I ended up with was a pipe with 3in on one side and 3in on the other side of 2 differ dimenshions of what I asked for. I then sliped this in and put a 3in silicon hose on it and clamped it down. I did the same on my turbo outlet.

The arguement against aluminum piping is rather pointless, the air simply doesn't sit in it long enough, and the surface area of the piping is so much less than that of the core, that it really doesn't gain back as much heat as you think (ever check the exit temp from the IC and then at the TB?) You'll not notice a very big difference. I consider the problems of stretching/cracking rubber to be rather a bit more to worry about than the 10* or so you pick-up from heated piping.
