Intercoolers are not rated by horsepower. Generally, you need a bigger intercooler as the boost level increases, especially if you are using the stock turbo or a cheap aftermarket turbo. However, the more accurate math is rather complicated. Also generally speaking, a more square shaped intercooler is better than a more retangular shaped intercooler, and you will probably want to stay under 3.5" thickness on a street car.

As for what your front end will support, you will need to use a tape measure and decide for yourself unless you buy a kit that is guaranteed to fit. A cardboard mock-up is a good idea if you are planning a custom setup.
