Flywheel resurfacing question

I read somewhere here and can't find it now, that you have to resurface a 2nd spot of the flywheel to properly be aligned but don't know which spot it is. Well I know #1 is getting resurface. Just need to know the 2nd spot. Thank

That's a TII flywheel. All you have to do is remove the dowel pins and have the ENTIRE surface machined. See the shiny spots where the flywheel bolts to the PP? That's the spot that most shops neglect to machine on NA flywheels because they're raised.

The TII flywheel is raised also. They are called stepper or step flywheels. A good machine shop will know to machine the proper amounts on BOTH levels.

On your picture areas 2 and 3 don't matter. Area 1 and the ring outside of it are what get machined.
