'Flywheel nut...what size? what tools?' (UPDATE)

OK so I rigged myslef up a big peice of metal that goes across the flywheel and on than down to the floor, I wedged myself between the tired and pulled! I did it! after like 4 hours of cussing I got the damn flywheel nut. Next thing, my clutch gets here monday, I want to put it in than. So I need to get my flywheel reserfaced tommarrow so I can pick it up after school monday and go at it. So to my question.

How do you get the damn flywheel off? I dont think you need to take the pilot bearing out before the flywheel do you? I rigged up a puller and its still not coming off? do I need to get the pilot bearing out before the flywheel? Sorry if this is conffusing but Im haveing trouble getting this all worked out... Is all I have is the FCM (hayes) and a small write up a printed off here in the archive. I need a help again!!!!!! Thanks alot for any help again

Spin the flywheel nut back on til its finger tight, don't use any tools. You will need a crow bar or something strong and with a long handle for leverage to pry the flywheel off. See, the crank shaft is tapered and the flywheel is stuck on it. Pry, then turn the wheel and pry again, working your way all the way around. The reason why you put the nut back on is to keep the flywheel form shooting off, and damaging you, the car or the flywheel. Good luck.

try useing a soft faced hammer, hit it a couple of times all the way around, it should knock it lose (put the nut back on finger tight for this too)
