flywheel nut torque

flywheel nut torque

I have a 150lb torque wrench, if i torque it to that much, how many more times do i have to turn the nut from there to get the 300 or watever lb the nut needs to be torqued too?

can i buy some no name die and tap set? or do i need some high quality ones, i'm only gonna use them for the rebuild

can i buy seperate dies and taps?

there is a formula floating around here, do a search for flywheel nut torque. Also, your second question is a local one in nature, jump in your car and go to the local place that sells tools and inquire there. In the states you can by one each of almost anything.

You weigh 150 lbs. You have a two foot long breaker bar. Stand on it towards the end of the breaker bar. Bounce for extra measure. Be sure to use Loctite on the threads of the nut prior to the install.

I seriously almost pulled out my calculator to determine the required lenth of the breaker bar to achieve 300ft/lbs lol
