The FSM says use thread-locking compound when putting the nut back on.

Loctite blue or loctite red?

Haynes doesn't specify either.

Can i assume red is correct because of the size?

Ive used red loctite with good results. The only thing you have to remember it releases with heat. To get the flywheel off you have to use a torch to melt the loctite before even thinking about using a wrench on it.

Ok, since I removed the flywheel nut without heat, they must not have used red...

Must be blue?

I have put on my eccentric nut with or without loctite and its held just fine both times.

If you don't have a torch, then don't use red loctite.

ive never used loctite and have never had issues. id say its up to you with what you want to use but it would be fine without any.

Red thick thread Loctite, or if you can't find thick thread a good coating of regular Red.

And I have never need a torch to remove one, just an impact gun and the correct size socket.
