you have to purchase one seperately. the counterweight you need is from an automatic transmission, from your year's engine. It is series-specific, so if you have an S4, you need to buy an S4 Automatic counterweight. Turbo/N/A does not affect it.

you can look on the forums to buy one, go the dealer (expensive) or find them from different sites, but the only one who makes them is Mazda, some people just distribute them.

what are teh difference in counterweights from an s-4 to s-5? I bought a fidanza 8.5 lbs flywheel on my rx7and ordered a new counterweightt with it but did not specify anything. I believe they only had one to choose from.

difference in weights between the two engines require different counterweights. You better hope they got you the right one, otherwise, you could have an unbalanced rotating assembly.

suppose I could call up the company and see if they have any idea which one the have is. I looked at the catalog again, they only have one part number for the counterweight. Than I need to figure out what my engine is.
