flywheel/clutch installing questions

Installing lightweight flywheel and new clutch, what should i grease/oil when puttin it on ?

I know i should do clutch pilot bearings, i got new one and old one is out of eshaft, but is there something more i should grease/oil before tightening flywheel on?

Thanks

Lube the inside & outer edge lightly .. of the rear main seal.

But I would recomend replaceing the rear main sear for a few bucks if you got it that far apart anyways..

Also always a good idea to replace the front tranny seal for $9 when you have it that far apart.

Also very lightly lube the end of the throw out bearing. and of course the inside of the pilot bearing .. lub that up good.. roll the bearings around a few times.. packing greese in them.

Ya, if its that hard to get the parts .. screw it, but it's just a precaution incase somthing springs a leak soon. its cheap insurance when you have the car that far apart already .. I would feel the same way if it took me 2 months to get parts though

ont forget to lube the splne shaft on the tranny just a bit. the clutch needs to be able to slide freely on that. clean it with a toothbrush/wirebrush then lube it a bit. I have had cars where this was not done, and the clutch would bind in one spot, and cause shifting and clutch pedal problems; it wouldnt come out of gear.
