flickering headlights, secondaries cutting off at WOT, electrical issues galore
i haven't really gave the FC much attention regarding these issues but i figured it was about time where i should seek some help.
anyway, i recently installed my HKS PFC F-CON and everything was fine. but all of a sudden, i started running into some issues, with some that were already existed prior to that.
1. voltage meter is reading only about one tick mark over 12V. i feel like something's draining the power.
2. when i cruise near 3K - 3.2K? RPM and keep it constant, i feel like there's a random jolt as if fuel randomly gets cut off for a quick second until i go above that RPM.
3. headlights flicker when i cruise on the freeway at night (i think more of the driver's side)
4. sometimes when i go WOT, i feel like the secondaries cut off or something. the acceleration slows down and i see my A/F ratio read lean (obvious sign no fuel's being sent).
i did however, cleaned my engine grounds (after checking out aaroncake's website on the DIY page) hoping that'd solve it. cleaned the grounds near the trailing coils, cleaned the ground on the ECU on top of the block, and the ground from the transmission to the firewall. it definitely allowed my FC to run WOT more often than it used to, but the issue still remained.
also, after removing my trailing coil, i discovered this.
is the spark doing this? the metal contact to the spark plug wire is pretty dirty too from the dust compared to the other one.
PS: idle sucked before too (randomly die in neutral), but was fine after driving a bit. but after disconnecting the TPS plug and cleaning the grounds and reconnecting it, it got worse. lol perhaps vacuum leak?
if there's solutions/suggestions you may offer, please let me know.
all i know is that i should replace that trailing coil pack for now.

Check the output voltage of the alternator while it idles. The Black cable bolted to the alternator is the output wire and it should read 14 volts or so while idling. The electrical circuits require a certain amount of voltage but the volt gauge is not the most accurate so there might be a discrepancy between the gauge reading and the voltage measured from the output wire.

also, before all this, my main intention was just to replace alternators and pulleys because the knightsports dual pulley i had on before was eating my belts. of course, although i wasn't making good contact with chewed up belts, the symptoms i had still remained. EVEN after replacing the alternator and pulley (that was tested at autozone).
