Question flames out the exhaust?!?!?

i was told by someone that previously had an RX7 that you could blow flames out the exhaust by putting the car in neutral and revving it up to 5500 rpms, let go of the throttle and tap the gas real quick in one quick motion and it will blow flames out the back, im wondering if this is true and if so does it harm your engine or anything else??

if you have catalytic converters on the car still, you'll probably just blow smoke. In general, you need a pretty open exhaust and removal of the emmissions components to get flames.

As far as hurting the car goes, It's probably not doing any damage. Unless you set the bumper on fire or something...

No damage. Flames come up 5 times a week, please use the search to locate info and cool pictures.

BTW, lose the 720CC secondary injectors. Not needed at all on an NA, and is just costing you power and wasting gas.
