fkk no way

just when I thought I had it all figured out... I got my new engine in and basicly finished

then I started adding coolant and some was leaking out of the turbo coolant hookup , you know the metal line that runs to the block ...

so I snug it up a bit more.. and *snap* one of the studs on he flange breaks right off....

so the question I have is this , what can I do about this .. I mean I'm really frustrated , I thought i was home free

you broke a stud off inside of the block?

well, you pretty much have to drill it out and retap it. theres not a whole lot you can do.

in the meantime theres always the super ghetto fix where you drill it out and then use a machine screw and a whole lot of RTV. but thats like DSM ghetto...

hm.. has anyone ever replaced that piece with a SS braided line? I think that could work , especially if I have to drill and tap a new stud

any input on that?

You are talking about the line that goes to your lower intake manifold. Just remove the stud and replace it with a new one. They do come out.
Thanks Robert
