Fitting 88 guages in a 89.

Could I use the 88 turbo gauges in the 89 pod for the custom gauges that I got. I broke two of the 89 gauges while I was working on them. I needed a new set of gauges, and my friend gave me the gauges for the 88 that he had. So I was wondering if they would work for my 89 in the same cluster. Upon my review of the gauges it seems to be that the only thing that is different is the orientation of the gauges and the fact that they aren't surrounded by a round cover, but that of a triangle. Would they work if I switched the orientation of the gauges.

The wiring to them is different, and I don't think switching the orientation is a good idea, as they draw their power and signals from the PCB on the backside.

I know that the contact points in the rear seem to line up accurately. I guess it won't work then. Does anyone know where I can get gauges for my car then?
