i think i can cover the parts but i need to know what interior colors the rx-7 came with. if someone would be willing to check to see if an S4 A-pillar will fit an S5 w/ fabing or if its too hard that would be great!!
it looks like alot of pepl want 3 pods?? i personally think it looks crowded with three but like i said before we could put it to a vote.
if we can get a solid yes or no on if the pillar will fit both series' and how many pods then it should all be mailing and waiting after that

They would need to be seperately done. Also I assume that 3 pods will not fit a S5 trim piece. 2 pods might be the most you can fit in, with the cutout for the seatbelt track there.

sunshire your certain that an A-pillar can't just be "sliced" to allow the autobelt to work?? if not then i will have to restric this project to only S4 cars
jreynish, the progress is that i have a head count i can count on one hand and we need 30 pepl.
as many pepl as can comitt now that it is only S4....please raise your hands and tell me two or three pod? don't forget to tell your friends boys and gurls....

Here is the thing,
Not all s5 cars have the auto seat belt and those whom do, can notch out a track for it to work with a 3 guage pod! i would still be in!!! no matter what! I don't have autoseat beltswith my s5 TII! so i would be likely to go for it! If this doesn't happen for february then I am simply going to contruct my own I think! But i would definitely like these better! I am still in!

Lo Tek has told me that there are currentlly three other forums/car groups with projects in front of oursbut the first to pre order 30 and send everything in.....goes first.
so realisticlly we could have them within 2 months.....2months of sending them what they need, that is $$$ and parts.

alright it looks like most pepl are asking for a three pod, or say two or three. so offically the pod will be: three 52mm pods[possibly with a larger optional], color matched to the colors rquested[i have to send them all in], and formed from an S4 pillar[if anyone with an S5 can make an S4 pillar fit on there S5 logically this is for them too:smile:]
any questions....??
anymore buyers....???

FB Dual Gage Pods
I just got my dual gage pod for an 84 GSL-SE. Took them like 5 months to deliver but the end result is pretty good. Total was $59 including shipping--a little pricey but for an FB there are no other options I know of. It was all the same kind of deal with a group buy from Lotek.
Had maybe 1/2 hr of trimming with a dremel to get it to fit. Both gage holes were too small and the top and bottom ends needed trimming. Also, I had to send in a color sample for them to produce a grey unit.
BTW, the wood screws they supply for mounting suck. Sheet metal screws with the proper thread pitch are required to mount into the A-pillar. I think the A-pillar metal is pretty thick cause I had to use some big pitch drywall screws to make it work.
Just finished the wiring and plumbing last night. Overall the unit came out real nice like I wanted.

its a club exclusive as far as i know. i'd love to have an A-pillar mounting....but as of now i think im gonna go with a center console mounting for my boost gauge.
ill still buy an a-pillar though if we can get enough to go for it. i'll even participate in the process if anyone else wants to give another go at getting 30 pepl together.
