I have a hard time fitting under the dash to see wires and would like to splice the door speaker wirees out w/o having to run new wire from inside the door.... does anyone have a picture of the door amp? I couldn't find a picture of it and I don't want to accidentally disconnect the wrong thing in there lol




Oh and crutchfield is awsome when ordering your stereo. They send you everything stereo+deck install kit+power antenna adapter+booklet specifically on howto install everything.... made it much easier than the directions in each pieces book.

 

hey man,
pull out the drivers side dash speaker and look directly behind it, there is a little silver box that says pioneer on it, pull it out, and there is a 4 wire connector, thus speakr wires.

 

see thats what I thought ... but it just has something like 10vXXXXX, sorry it's effing cold out and I can not remember offhand. There is my dash speaker harness comming down w/ no slack & all of the harness I can see connected to boxes have about 15 wires each at the leaste lol .... oh screw it being cold I am going to grab my camera and take a pic .. brb (i appreciate the help tyvm)

~edit~ nevermind the picture thankyou very much. The word Pionere was upsidedown and half coverred by a mount How much slack is usually on those wires? It's cold out but I dunno I am feeling ambition in the dark lol

Also was wondering, I was going to buy better speakers next (I baught some cheapo replacements so I could stop using my psp as music). Should I buy a set of 6 1/2 for rear and a set for front w/ tweeter or get 2 sets w/ tweeters? Wasn't sure if it would be worth having a set of tweeters in front and back ~edit~

 

usually, you only want one set of tweeters (up front for imaging purposes), and im the wrong guy to ask about rear speakers, as my car is a vert and has no rear speakers.

lol thyanks I figured, I am actually going to just steal the 6x9's out of my Monte and toss em in back because the speaker cover is broken anyways lol ... Ill just make a mount (who cares if it looks like crud) and get a good tweeterand speaker for up front
