finished my 2.5 exhaust on the n/a

finally finished the exhaust .

i have a 87 N/A auto. i removed the main cat plus the pre cat. i have one pre cat left thats the one in the downpipe. all 2.5 to the back with one OBX B9 muffler.

let me tell you so far i just drove it home but man i was impresssed the car seemed to run cooler. the air fuel ratio guage seemed more acurated and the pick up was nicer than before. not to mention at idle it seemed smoother.

the exhaust still has the silencer in it but yes it is loud. but to my liking so far. i have not had it up to 70 yto 80 yet so i havnet experienced the full noice yet. you can stand behind the car and smell the fumes psssssssssss not pretty

i wired the auxillary ports like some of you said and at like 3000 rpms or so i did fell some pick up more thatn usual. so im assuming they are working prop. it was raining so i couldnt adjust them by looking under the hood and putting the car in neutrol

not fromm what other have said i should not have to worry about pipes exploding cuase of heat or having engine probles and so on i sure hope you were right.

i would recommend this mod to anyone who wants to take the time to do it.

thanks again
and i hope i dont have to post negativly on here about my experience with it in the next few weeks or months.

Don't wire the aux ports, it'll ruin your low-rpm torque (not that the slush-box auto doesn't already) Anywho, pipes 'exploding' from heat? They don't quite 'explode', more like fall apart or crack, and occasional they'll blow apart, but nothing as impressive as an explosion (that'd be neat). Good luck, chances are it'll be loudest around the 3300rpm mark at WOT and get quiter (or at least seem to, in the car) as you wind it out.
